A product sheet tells you what a manufacturer wants you to notice. This section explains what sits behind it: how each floor covering is built, which properties matter for a given space, and which claims can be checked against a standard.
The articles are grouped by the layer of the floor they concern. Tile and hard surfaces covers ceramic and porcelain, stone, and the commercial details that finish them: cove base, stair treads and threshold profiles. Carpet and soft flooring covers broadloom and carpet tile. Adhesives and underlayment covers the layers that are easy to forget and expensive to get wrong: what holds a floor down, what lets it float, and what controls sound and moisture.
When a decision is between products rather than about one, start with how to read a data sheet and how to compare products on their tested properties instead of their marketing. Both are in Commercial & Business.
